Rule 96
Educational and progeny instinct
(1) If an employee dies due to an accident in the course of government work or is unable to work for life due to the same reason, maximum two children of such dead or disabled employee shall be given annual educational allowance at the following rate until they reach the age of eighteen years:-
(a) Two thousand four hundred rupees to each descendant of an officer level employee,
(b) One thousand eight hundred rupees to each child of the assistant level employee.
(2) Maximum of two descendants of an employee who died in the course of government work will be given educational allowance as per sub-rule (1) at the following percentage of the starting salary scale of the position held by the deceased employee:- Percentage of starting salary of the employee's position
(a) Officers of the twelfth level (b) Eleventh level officer 10
(c) Dashaiya level officer 11
(d) Ninth level officer 12
(e) Eighth level officer 13
(f) Seventh level officer 14
(g) Sixth level officer 15

(3) According to sub-rule (2), the related offspring will get the pension until they reach the age of eighteen years. Explanation: For the purpose of this rule, "descendant" means son or daughter of the employee concerned.
